Our Background and Philosophy

Established in 1990, Woollacott Jannol LLP is dedicated to providing what the market for legal services demands: the highest quality legal work, delivered efficiently and effectively at a reasonable price. With rates that are often below the industry average we have experience in a wide range of practice areas important to the business community. We endeavor in each matter to be our clients' partner in achieving the best strategic, business and personal solution for their goals, needs and challenges. To deliver on that objective in the most cost-effective manner, we decline to follow large firm practices such as over-staffing matters and charging for in-house services.

Our Clients

Our clientele includes corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, entrepreneurs, business owners and principals, professionals, families, and individuals. Our clients and their businesses cover a wide range of professions, technologies and industries and range in size from sole proprietors to institutional firms.

Our Approach

Our commitment to our clients starts with a specific understanding of our clients' business as it pertains to the problem or objective presented - be it a transaction's deal points and documentation or litigation to be pursued, avoided or defended. We never forget that our clients' business, reputation, prosperity and welfare are at stake, and our legal expertise allows us to be as creative and comprehensive as our clients' needs require. Our focus on finding the best solution always respects and tries to further our clients' parallel need to reach that outcome cost-effectively. Our firm prides itself on achieving a complimentary mix of the best legal approach with the highest value.

When our clients are on the defense, we seek to gain insurance coverage whenever available and work with insurance companies to provide insurer-funded defenses. Our firm and its rate structure are accepted by many carriers and we enjoy a reputation for handling insured claims effectively and economically.

Our Value Price Structure

We keep our overhead low to provide the highest quality legal services at billing rates well below market. Our regular hourly rate for partners is $350 and for associates ranges from $125 to $195. The firm also considers alternative billing arrangements. We do not bill our clients for costs commonly passed along by other firms, including telephone charges, in-house copying, facsimiles and word processing. Our goal in the legal services' market is to deliver value to our clients by achieving success in the most direct manner possible at minimum cost.
